Tools used in the CZ 75 and CZ 75 Clone Videos

The CZ 75 pistol is an extremely common and reliable pistol. They are so popular that several companies like EAA make a clone of it.

The CZ 75 pistol is fairly easy to work on. However, there are several tools we used in these videos and I figured that I would share what was used for each step in this post.

Field Strip:

Slide Disassembly:

1911 Extractor Removal Tool – To remove and install the Firing Pin Stop

Brownells Universal Pistol Armorers Block (you can use a piece of 2X4 with holes drilled into it as well)

5/64″ Roll Pin Starter Punch – Drive out the extractor Pin

8 oz Ball Peen Hammer – Drive out the Extractor Pin

Tweezers – Remove the Extractor Spring from the slide


Slide Reassembly:

Brownells Universal Pistol Armorers Block – (you can use a piece of 2X4 with holes drilled into it as well)

Tweezers – Install Extractor Spring

1/16″ Punch – To hold the Extractor into place

3/32″ Hollow-Ended Starter Punch  – Install Extractor Pin

8 oz Ball Peen Hammer – Start the install of the Extractor Pin

Lyman Tapper Hammer – Drive the Extractor Pin through the Extractor

5/64″ Roll Pin Starter Punch – Drive the Extractor Pin into place

1911 Extractor Removal Tool – To remove and install the Firing Pin Stop


Frame Disassembly: 

Trigger Spring Removal:

Brownells Universal Pistol Armorers Block (you can use a piece of 2X4 with holes drilled into it as well)

3/32″ Roll Pin Starter Punch – Start the removal of the Trigger Pin

8 oz Ball Peen Hammer 

1/8″ Roll Pin Punch– Finish the removal of the Trigger Pin

Removing the Safety:

Pick – Move Sear Spring 

Lyman Tapper Hammer (Hammer with Brass and Nylon heads) – Used the Brass punch in the handle to move the safety

Disassembling the Sear Housing:

Pick – Move Sear Spring

3/32″ Punch – Remove the Sear Pin

Removing the Trigger:

Pick – Move Interrupter 

Removing the Hammer:

Brownells Universal Pistol Armorers Block (you can use a piece of 2X4 with holes drilled into it as well)

8 oz Ball Peen Hammer 

1/8″ Roll Pin Starter Punch – Start the removal of the Hammer Pin

Pick – Remove Hammer Spring

1/8″ Roll Pin Punch– Finish the removal of the Hammer Pin

Removing the Magazine Catch:

5″ OAL Needle Nose Pliers – To remove the Trigger Bar Guide Assembly

Brownells Universal Pistol Armorers Block (you can use a piece of 2X4 with holes drilled into it as well)

Removing the Slide Stop Spring:

1/16″ Punch – Remove the Slide Stop Spring Pin

Pick – Remove the Slide Stop Spring

 


Frame Reassembly: 

Installing the Slide Stop Spring:

1/8″ X 3″ Slotted Screw Driver

1/8″ Allen Wrench

O Ring Pick

Lyman Tapper Hammer (Hammer with Brass and Nylon heads) – Used to tap in pin

Installing the Magazine Catch:

1/16″ Punch – Install Trigger Bar Guide Assembly

Assembling the Sear Housing:

3/32″ Punch – Hold Sear into Sear Housing

Pick – Install Sear Spring

Installing the Hammer:

Tweezers – Install Hammer Spring

1/8″ Roll Pin Starter Punch – Hold Hammer to Frame and Finish installing Hammer Pin

1/8″ Hollow-Ended Starter Punch – Start the install of the Hammer Pin

8 oz Ball Peen Hammer 

Brownells Universal Pistol Armorers Block (you can use a piece of 2X4 with holes drilled into it as well)

Installing the Trigger:

AR 15 Takedown Detent – Temporarily install Trigger Spring

3/32″ Punch – Hold Trigger to Frame and push out AR 15 Detent

1/16″ Punch – Push Trigger into place to align holes

3/32″ Hollow-Ended Starter Punch – Start the install of the Trigger Pin

8 oz Ball Peen Hammer 

Brownells Universal Pistol Armorers Block (you can use a piece of 2X4 with holes drilled into it as well)

3/32″ Roll Pin Starter Punch – Finish installing Trigger Pin

Installing the Sear Housing:

3/32″ Punch Hold Sear Housing into Frame

PickMove Sear Spring

Installing the Grips:
