How to Train Smarter with the I-MTTS Arena

Most dry fire setups trick you into thinking you’re training hard but not the I-MTTS Arena.

In reality, in most dry fire training, you’re just hitting the same spot on the same wall over and over.

That builds repetition—but not decision-making, reaction time, or thinking under pressure.

After years away from competition shooting, multiple surgeries, and long recovery times, I needed more than just trigger time. When Laser Ammo asked me to test the I-MTTS Arena dry fire training system for my comeback challenge, I figured I’d give it a try.

What I got was not what I expected—the I-MTTS Arena exposed bad habits I thought I had already fixed. That’s why I’m sharing this with the Rogue Nation—because honest feedback beats fake progress every time.

Simple Setup – Serious Capability

The I-MTTS Arena is wireless, no cords, no apps, no headaches.

Targets pair automatically when powered on. Batteries are included (three per target, plus three for the controller). My 3-target kit runs on 12 batteries, so grab a bulk pack from Costco if you’re serious about training.

I’ve run the I-MTTS Arena in tight spaces, cluttered rooms, and low light with zero hiccups. It’s mobile, clean, and truly plug-and-play.

The I-MTTS Arena Programs

  • P0 – Basic Hit Counter Great for beginners, gear checks, or quick reps. The controller counts every hit.
  • P1 – Plate Rack Targets drop as you hit them. You can expand the I-MTTS Arena laser shooting trainer up to 10 targets for a full plate rack feel. Controller shows splits and total time.
  • P2 – Chase the Ball One target lights green at a time. Shoot it, and another lights up until your string ends.
  • P3 – Shoot / No Shoot Green means shoot, red means don’t. Miss a green? Two-second penalty. Hit a red? Drill ends. This is where decision-making starts kicking in.
  • P4 – Shoot / No Shoot – Double Speed Same as P3 but at double the pace. My targets are spaced six feet apart to work peripheral vision and reaction speed.
  • P5 – Double Tap Drill Two shots per target. You can program the I-MTTS Arena for more hits if you want.
  • P6 – Function Drill Looks like P5 at first, but the second shot is on a timer. Gives you room to simulate reloads, malfunctions, or movement between shots.

💡 Ready to train with purpose?

The I-MTTS Arena is more than a dry fire gadget—it’s a decision-making, speed, and accuracy trainer in one.

Training in the Real World

My “range” isn’t a sterile bay—it’s my 18’ x 11’ studio packed with benches, tools, camera gear, a rowing machine, and two dogs. That’s where I put the I-MTTS Arena through its paces.

Rehab, cardio, resistance work—physically I was shaking off the rust. Mentally? Not so much.

The I-MTTS Arena exposed hesitation in shoot/no-shoot drills, slow draws, and delayed reactions in double-speed runs. I caught myself reacting to lights instead of processing color—exactly the kind of mistake that costs you in competition.

Why the I-MTTS Arena Works

The I-MTTS Arena doesn’t sugarcoat. It doesn’t flatter your ego or give you false dopamine. It shows exactly where you’re slipping.

For new shooters, this dry fire training system builds discipline and gives instant feedback.

For experienced shooters, it forces timing, control, and decision-making under stress.

I run mine with Laser Ammo’s SureStrike Mag—real trigger press, no slide rack needed. That setup took some fine-tuning, but I’ll cover that in another review.

Final Take

No tool will turn you into a marksman overnight.

The I-MTTS Arena is the most honest dry fire trainer I’ve used in my comeback. It showed me what I’d lost—and gave me the path to get it back.
